and weeding the gardens,....
(now, only if I can get to them once they ripen before the critters do!)
he has two and both are doing well ~
don't think he'll be brewing any beer anytinme soon though!
...along with some stitching on the front porch.
Polly & Laurie
are in there, and their homes, rugs, quilts and color pallettes are to dye for!
I need to see MORE or their homes...wish we were neighbors!
...Peter's Mom made this pie every year for Easter, along with
Italian Cream Pie, Rice Pie and Wheat Pie, and Ham Pie
(the latter I will try to make using leftover ham from yesterday)
Peter was happy with it, as were our guests...
Robin & Lee brought Hannah a Chocolate Mousse Cake with Chocolate Frosting...
yeah...
like we NEEDED that
after the chocolate bunny feeding-frenzy
that occurred earlier in the morning!
(just Kidding Robin...it was delicious...I finished it off for b'fast!!)
Well Hannah is on Spring Break this week...
we are planning a trip to the Natural Bridge Zoo on Wednesday,...
it's a great little zoo, not too far of a drive,
and a Spring-time visit assures us of all kinds of baby animals will be there!
(I'll bring my camera for sure!!)
I am working on my projects
that I'll be offering Saturday eve
on my selling blog...
remember,
this update is all about pinkeeps, make-do's & prim sewing needfuls!
hope you can join me!
Enjoy the rest of the day,
and don't eat too much candy!
Hi friends....
have you ever begun a sampler,...
after having spent considerable time picking out threads & linen colors...
stitching on a very small count...
only to find that your threads aren't showing up as you'd like them to?
*sigh*
yes, I've been stitching on my
"Plump Wife"
sampler...
but my stitches were fading into the background
of the Parchment colored linen...
~SO~
I decided to try this: (see pics above)
...it is Week's Dye Works Overdyed Linen in Chestnut (30ct)
I am stitching this one-over-one
...with Gentle Arts Sampler Threads
and like the results...
ast least the colors of the GA/ST are showing up
on the darker background!!
I'll be here in the shop today,
...working between pulling weeds from the shop garden
and on this sampler!
Hoping you all have a lovely Easter Weekend!!
Blessings from the Farm,Lori
